• 2 pieces bread ends
  • 1/8c margarine/butter, melted
  • 1T finely shredded Parmesan
  • 1/4t (ish?) each: garlic powder, onion powder, freshly ground salt, freshly ground pepper
  • 1/8t (ish?) chili powder
  • dash cayenne pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 400 and line a baking sheet with tin foil (don't use silicone).
  2. Dice bread into cubes.
  3. Toss bread cubes in a bowl with margarine to coat. Sprinkle spices and Parmesan and toss to ensure broad distribution.
  4. Place single layer of bread cubes on baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Gently toss and bake for another 10 minutes, or until croutons are crisp but tender.
