• 1c rice crispies
  • 1/3c quinoa, soaked in water for 30-60 min and drained
  • 1/3 millet, soaked in water for 30-60 min and drained
  • 2c whole (slow) oats
  • 2T flax meal
  • 1/4c wheat germ
  • 1/4c wheat bran
  • 1/4c to 1/3c each, chopped: pecans, walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, raw unsalted pistachios, soy nuts
  • 1/4c each: pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seed
  • 3T each: hemp seed, shredded coconut
  • 1t salt
  • healthy dose cinnamon
  • dash nutmeg
  • dash cloves
  • dash cardamom
  • 2T orange zest
  • 3T orange juice
  • 1.5T vanilla
  • 1/4c oil
  • 1/4c maple syrup OR 4T maple syrup + 4T honey
  • 1c to 1.5c dried fruit (cranberries, blueberries, apple, dates)


  1. Combine all ingredients except fruit. Mix well.
  2. Spread evenly on cookie sheets covered with parchment paper.
  3. Bake at 325 (convection) for 10 minutes; stir, and bake again for another 7 minutes; stir, and bake for another 5 minutes.
  4. Once granola has cooled, stir in dried fruit.
